A Fools Paradise  (part 2)

The imaginations of a lunatic,
vividly clear, intense dreams.
I am lost inside delusions again
the crazed, rambling daydreams
of a dysfunctional mind.

We walked on a deserted beach
your hair flying free in the wind
Our hands, our interlaced fingers
neither leading nor following
exploring the future together

I remember the touch of your lips,
the tenderly exchanged first kiss,
My heart pounds with the thought
I can sense your presence now
here, close to me, surrounding me

I am tormented by the visions,
tortured with altered realities.
So real, so utterly palpable
that it surely has happened
somewhere else within time

How cruel these hallucinations,
this hurtful phantom illusion.
In my memory we are joined,
inseparable for eternity.

We were so much in love.
