Image for the poem stir.

stir.

intemperate is the cloak which darkens the sky.
though thoughts dwindle into dreams
the mind which strays is mine.
speak now I urge
before spears of truth puncture my fantasies
aid my need to rest with ease.
though my knees are weak, I rise
to search for stars and filter lies
to taste love with a fickle tongue,
cringe at the rancid scent
yet long for the bittersweet descent.
dreams which I have dreamt are forever damned
for you've blessed me once
but never again.
render this mirage behind my eyes
or curse me,
beshrew me and my destiny
to never once love
as I have...
only in this dream.
