Hey shorty I think "accomplishing" overpowers. It's 1/8 the whole poem. Pretend you're Hemingway (I know... stop sneering at me) just for one word. "accomplishing them" could drop and add the word "they" at the head of the last line.

I'm almost too shocked to take that DAMN fine advice, and make that change.

I'm 6'2" in my shoes, and I tend to kick people in the dick when they call me shorty... just sayin' tall-y. (That made me laugh out loud. Never do that again.)  
 
I'd kick Hemingway in the dick if he was here. (I just discovered a new phrase. Go me!)
