Searching
I'm intoxicated by dreams of a better day
If humanity is a herd, then call me a stray
I've spent my life wandering our plain
Trying to find some shelter from this rain
Any sort of distraction to delay the pain
I'm searching for things that might not be real
Searching for answers to the way that I feel
I should be reaching out with arms spread wide
But I cower in my shell, my one place to hide
Where is home for a vagrant in the rain?
There is no village for one like me
Only the meadow, so wild and free
I've looked for answers deep in my soul
Looked for the fragment to make me whole
If humanity is a herd, then call me a stray
I've spent my life wandering our plain
Trying to find some shelter from this rain
Any sort of distraction to delay the pain
I'm searching for things that might not be real
Searching for answers to the way that I feel
I should be reaching out with arms spread wide
But I cower in my shell, my one place to hide
Where is home for a vagrant in the rain?
There is no village for one like me
Only the meadow, so wild and free
I've looked for answers deep in my soul
Looked for the fragment to make me whole
