Saying good-bye.

Who knew saying bye was this hard?
Just thinking about it makes me cry here in the dark.
10 months has passed by and now the time is here
10 months feels like 10 minutes, not long enough for you to be near

Tears form when I see you,
promises fly away
looking back I wish it didn't have to be this way.

Why did we get this close,
Why do i have to leave,
I wish nothing more than for you to follow me.

You are my one,
I hope I'm yours.
Not wanting to say bye,
I sit here in the dark fighting tears

I do my best to write your letter,
talking 'bout all we had,
this is one of many that I have to write
and everyone is just as hard

You were my rock,
I was yours.
we had so much
I don't want it to end.

I go back
you stay here
oceans apart
Why does it have to be so hard.

Refusing to say good-bye,
Just like peter Pan,
"cuz good-bye means going away and going away means forgetting"

I will never forget you
we will always be friends
Separated by oceans but still close in heart!
