Petrollium jelly was the base ingriedient for the U.S grade napalm they used on Vietnam. It is good for squeaks, skin, and lube.

Yes the USA fucked Vietnam without lube. They took the lube allocated for the task and made it into napalm.

I'm one of those people who finds the smell of WD40 oddly comforting. All those years growing up with a farmer/carpenter, I guess. Seemed to be the universal squeak eliminator...usually.

Yes, the annoying squeak was so burned in but fixing it left me with a silence I couldn't relate to ...
It did however get better with time ...
