Summer '99 (with Pete_25)

She smelt like Summer '99
Braided hair, petals n' wine
Tango trees, the sun above
Misspent youth, our Summer of love

The days would last, chasing stars
Smiles and laughs, purple hearts
Baize lush fields, puffy clouds
Chirping crickets, sang out loud

Skinny dips, kissing stones
Strawberry lips, this our home
Love and wine, back in time
Back in the Summer of '99

Such sweet memories, being made
Flirts and glances, under shade
Moon bares witness, tender kiss
Softening melody, night of bliss

Dancing close, bodies sway
Infectious dose, hearts convey
Please define, it’s by design
Thinking about Summer ’99
