Tantalizing

Softly moving
Summer's breeze
Blowing through my crown
Skipping lightly over my skin
My body shudders  
As the hairs on my body
Are electrified by a chill
That sneaked up on me.
 
I look around  
I cannot see anyone
So I continue sauntering  
Down the lane.
My lover comes to mind
For a moment...
I become lost in the thoughts
Of our affair
Of our non-affair, affair  
Of how close we were  
Of losing myself within
Of the pain and suffering  
When a love affair becomes extinct.
I remember the tantalizing last night  
Of our being truly close  
Of our touching into the depths
Where I long to be again.
Seems it shall never be.
Keep searching, but to no avail.
'Bout knocked me out of life's loop.
My heart hurt  
My heart broke.
I now can truly understand  
The term, "die of a broken heart."
