Annoying People
Can I have a life without you?
You come at me,
Like you have something to prove.
But, you're all I want to lose.
My life is not about you.
I mostly stare at my shoes.
Trying to avoid eye contact,
With people who don't amuse.
I constantly doubt you.
You're unaware and you're confused.
I watch you as you come at me,
Like you have something to prove.
If I tried to vouch for you,
While I'm on a short fuse,
I'd blow up in your face on stage,
Your death is breaking news.
I just wanted a life without you.
That's all you had to do.
But, instead, you forced yourself on me,
Like you had something to prove.
