My mum is 89 and lived through WW2 in Glasgow.I was born in '58 and my mum says the same thing.
They'd know better than most that life does go on.....God love 'em both.

My mother (1920-2013) lived through the Liverpool blitz. Her mother (1888-1984) lived through both world wars and everything from the arrival of the cars & radios, to computers. After the wars, they just wanted a calm life. Both died in the 90s. I'm hoping to do the same - but without a world-war.

My opa is 94 and lived in occupied Netherlands during the war. He is in the process of publishing his memoirs
