Its fun to dream
What do you do,
when people are crying,
when peace is sold
and nobodies buying?
Because the real money,
is in dying,
thats why guns have their own stores,
violence is at core,
man excels at killing,
that's why we adore war.
What do you do,
when you have nothing to fight for,
don't want to do wrong,
but there's a lock on the right door?
When media is designed,
to desensitize eyes,
so that they remain dry,
stay blind in the face,
of the obvious lie?
What do you do,
when empathy becomes rare,
watch people die in despair,
why should we care?
The remotes over there.
What do you do,
when vile hands hold the keys,
push all the buttons,
control destinies?
When primitive man,
holds civilized knowledge,
institutions are crumbling,
he still won't acknowledge?
What do you do,
when might equals right,
when you must follow the herd
or be removed from sight?
When money is tight,
desperation you fight,
day to day burdens,
defined as your life?
What do you do,
when schools mass produce fools?
Nuts and bolts of the system,
nothing but tools.
What shall we do,
when we see it too late,
broke covenant with nature,
continued to take?
when being is made empty,
hearts tainted with pride,
let material pleasures
corrupt thought and mind?
What do you do,
when life is no longer thine,
where judgments and folklore have clouded the mind?
When the system becomes prison
you just want to survive,
hopelessness dawns
and you've lost will to try?
What do you do,
when the future looks grim,
proceeding in darkness,
for the light is too dim?
Me,
I choose to sleep,
just lay my head down,
relax my mind state,
let my thoughts stay abound.
Tomorrow might yield a new surprise,
the reduction of frictions,
maybe compromise.
A system collapsed,
a chance to start anew,
rebuilding with bricks
of virtue and truth.
But the new sun arises
it greets weary eyes,
to the same old things,
most of which I despise.
No change in the sky,
no falter in scheme,
my somber reality,
it's fun to dream.
