Living in denial

Your words say everything I need to hear
A cutting remark disguised with a hug
Is almost too much to bare

There used to be love
Where contempt now resides
I try my best but nothing I do is right

Where do we go from here
We're both in lost worlds
With no escape route clear

But living in misery
