Life Moves On II

I took a stroll through desolate halls
Haunted by nightmares in the middle of the day
No one's around, but I'm used to that
Alone was my name, isolation my game

In the sounds of silence
My vision of the world turns to grey
In the sounds of silence
The bells of time ringing through my mind
We'd all love to go back to when we were okay
But life moves on

One lost soul, walking in the dark
Echoes of silence resonate in my heart
All my dreams reduced to night terrors
There's no one to ease my soul

In the sounds of silence
My vision of the world turns to grey
In the sounds of silence
The bells of time ringing through my mind
We'd all love to go back to when we were okay
But life moves on

The worst tragedy one can face
Is being forced to grow up early
I wish I could've had a longer childhood
I wish I could go back...

In the sounds of silence
My vision of the world turns to grey
In the sounds of silence
The bells of time ringing through my mind
We'd all love to go back to when we were okay
But life moves on

Author's Note
Following 'Life Moves On' and its themes of childhood innocence, 'Life Moves On II' delves into the year innocence was lost, facing the mind's trickery alone. Innocence traded for paranoia, joy traded for fear, and childhood traded for trauma. This is how life moves on.
