Ain't no Pine Tar
Ain't no pine tar now that you are gone as your shadow lingers
across my weary bones with fingers of decay and dead leaves
as asphalt crumbles like old crones whispering secrets in the
moon's footsteps where once you were warm in your Caddy
shack now cold as the winds in a forgotten farewell your
beloved a thousand night as sentinel ain't no pine tar now that
you are gone now a dark bloody lonely road
across my weary bones with fingers of decay and dead leaves
as asphalt crumbles like old crones whispering secrets in the
moon's footsteps where once you were warm in your Caddy
shack now cold as the winds in a forgotten farewell your
beloved a thousand night as sentinel ain't no pine tar now that
you are gone now a dark bloody lonely road
