in the back of mind,
where i was born
where i will die
all my friends,
celebrating
my family pallbearers
every other day,
a funeral for
an old side of me
i can't help it,
every other day i find
a new side of me
deep inside of me,
a writhing pit of despair
beside the highest cliff of ecstasy
wear white to my daily funeral,
and leave the decor dark
so you stand out with the angels and i
