The Most Beautiful Of All Memories!
Magic moments in my life
Have been rare, and scarce
But helping with my daughters birth
Was beyond all compare
More wonderful than a summers day
And it's myriad beauty on display
Our daughter, was an anniversary gift to one another
A gift of love, like no other
She'[s brought sunshine
Into a cold, and icy March prelude
Light as a feather, and at first subdued
I'm still in awe, and wonder
At an amazing midwife so true
Who helped me, help my partner through
The culmination, a few days shy of thirty seven weeks
The early bird arrived, there were a few minor squeaks
Now just shy, by two weeks, she'll be twentysix years old
And her son (my grandson) would of had twentysix months to unfold
I remember holding my daughter in my arms
This tiny, most beautiful child....
She was placed back in the incubator
Like a new born chick
Her mother exhausted, but no longer morning sick
Our daughter, now long removed
From her womb with a view
This most magical of all things
Will forever, make my heart sing true!
