Corneas

Hi how are you
good and you--
his twinkled
as they bore into mine

What can I do for you
Umm, can I have one tall Sumatra
and a slice of zucchini bread
to go please--
I feel mine twinkle back

Anything else
No thanks--
I swivel my shoulders
ever so slightly
and feel his follow my twisting contours

Five nineteen--
mine meet his
and ours dance
as the plastic exchanges hands

Thank you
Thank you--
ours tangle again
with some unspoken expectation

Have a nice day
You too--
his smile
and mine shimmer wistfully
