Pretentious People Suck!
I met this guy through friends
I decided to have them over my house a few days ago
He told me he was a philosopher
He said he was trained in school to be one
I asked him: trained like a circus clown or a soldier?
He didn't like that much
I decided to put a CD on
He asked me what CD it was
I told him it was a Motorhead album
Their 1982 album "Iron Fist"
He asked who that was
I told him Lemmy, the vocalist was a philosopher from England
He didn't like that line, or the music or his voice
He walked out of the room, talking smack under his breath
His pompous, smug ways made me throw his ass out of my house
He reminded me of some "poets" on this site

Brilliantly penned, Keith. Instantly listed, it's "The Lemmy Rule." Anything with Lemmy gets an RL, ok that's not entirely true, it has to be a phenomenal write as well. Fine tribute to Damian- for what a truthful talented artist poet he is Keith..
pretentious ppl will always be there until the mind is thriving in the rotten politicking beats rather than listening to the pure heart n soul that would bear a beautiful mind otherwise.. such hypocrisies n lies can’t go on for long anywhere anytime ..
I always have this pertinent question & a deep answer too ever.. if a lie can thrive there or anywhere .. then the brave truth that is the superior power than them, even in the timely suffering or decline-truth will rise eventual .. to wipe off the lies hard n clean.. that i see here in your verses!
