The Wolftrap Bar
“A tall glass of water you are”
The words I had no control of
Marooned at Wolfstrap
Except I wasn’t trapped
The bar partially empty
I had drank a few
Before I met you
You helped me sober up
And got me home
Alone I had felt
Until you made me melt,
My cold heart thawed out
I might be thinking out loud
But I may have found
The one I’ve been waiting for
I sank to the floor
An interesting predicament
Do you wish to be friends?
Or will you possibly,
Hopefully, maybe
Be mine
I’ve lived a lie
I’ve cried
And strived
Often wished to say goodbye
But you made me find
The good in life
With a few words
The words I had no control of
Marooned at Wolfstrap
Except I wasn’t trapped
The bar partially empty
I had drank a few
Before I met you
You helped me sober up
And got me home
Alone I had felt
Until you made me melt,
My cold heart thawed out
I might be thinking out loud
But I may have found
The one I’ve been waiting for
I sank to the floor
An interesting predicament
Do you wish to be friends?
Or will you possibly,
Hopefully, maybe
Be mine
I’ve lived a lie
I’ve cried
And strived
Often wished to say goodbye
But you made me find
The good in life
With a few words
