Looking slick, Speak. It looks like you were going out for some action in the city. Great write, my friend. Nostalgia flavored. Appreciate you.

Yeah, kinda blonde.
I was squeezing lemon juice into my hair that summer when I went out to the beach house.
I wonder if that was wine or vodka ?
Probably wine as it was an art opening so wine would be traditional.
I was painting almost everyday back then.
I sold a lot of art that night. It was a blast.
I'm still emerging dimpy. I think that's the beauty of being an artist, always trying new things. Making Art is like making love. Reaching always for new heights ...
Thx for the cool comment..

Dear PS,
Awesome. Sometimes a picture really does paint a thousand words. Youre rocking it my friend. Very enjoyable peek into the beginnings of the one and only Poetspeak. H🌷

Dear H,
Thanks so much for your nice comment.
You would have enjoyed that funky little gallery. A little storefront gallery in my neighborhood. I had a lot of paintings in there and I invited everyone I knew. A lot of people showed up. We rocked it and made some good sales too.
Thanks H

Now that guy looks like a Personality! Still wearing it too, & bringing the movement in art.

Looking slick my friend. Late 1970's early 80's look going on here. You remind me of Johnny Lydon (Rotten) when he formed Public Image.
Great write and an awesome photo.

1986 actually
But who's counting
Yeah
Good times, young and productive
I was into the Clash and BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE around then. Ian Drury and the Blockheads. Lou Reed and Bowi of course.
Countess others. 80s music was fun and powerful

It must have been the best time. Being an artist in NYC talking to all the people seeing different things in your art than what you saw. Laid back and casual. Nice

It was a great time. Pre-internet, real painting, no digital yet to speak of ...

True.
I am the man.
My dick isn't big but I got laid a lot.
So it means they wanted me not just the pork or brisket if you're kosher ....

Many moons ago for this buck but still fun to look back at this moment in time. I have a large Pollock like painting in my living room I did close to 40 years ago. I did it as a backdrop for a dance performance my wife was choreographing. I did it on my living room floor Pollock style. It came out great.
It's 48" x 72".
It's harder than people think to paint like Pollock but doable if you think in abstraction as I do.
I might have posted it at one time on DUP.
Will look.
Thanks D

Looking sharp!
It's funny, during my Art History class we did a little bit on contemporary artists and Pollock was one of them. They mentioned his *unorthodox* materials and techniques but not in great detail. Lol.

Thanks on my look.
What I wouldn't give to have that look back ..
I mean I'm still hot but a bit hair challenged at this point in time.
Pollock was all about throwing and spreading latex house paint. It's harder to do than it looks to get it right. He was first to do that style. A great artist, tortured, lunatic alcoholic. Died young...

I have the album queued up for listening when I get a chance... ✈🎵
I dunno, that Box Head in the photo looks like he might be trouble. The best kind, though.😉 He might even be a good guy under the cool exterior.
