Nosy Neighbour
If only you'd invited me in
I wouldn't have to be out here in the cold
nose pressed against the window
standing in the fresh snow
in the cover of night
Hearing the sounds
and seeing in the dim light
how he takes you places
Those twisted faces
of impending needs
ready to burst
on back
or bent over
god, he slides it into you
so good
I see why he keeps
coming back
I wonder if you know
that I'm out there,
I kind of wish you did
Maybe in the morning,
you will see my footprints,
the only risk being
that you may close the curtains
the next time
But if you are
who I really think you are
They will stay wide open.
I wouldn't have to be out here in the cold
nose pressed against the window
standing in the fresh snow
in the cover of night
Hearing the sounds
and seeing in the dim light
how he takes you places
Those twisted faces
of impending needs
ready to burst
on back
or bent over
god, he slides it into you
so good
I see why he keeps
coming back
I wonder if you know
that I'm out there,
I kind of wish you did
Maybe in the morning,
you will see my footprints,
the only risk being
that you may close the curtains
the next time
But if you are
who I really think you are
They will stay wide open.
