Someday Soon
Desperation fuels chaos in the streets
While false idols continue to make war
Honest poets keep writing the receipts
That’s right we’ve been keeping score
Someday soon judgment catches us all
Pride hits hardest when forced to crawl
Evil people are cowards speaking in lies
Hiding behind wealth enslaved by greed
There is no light inside such barren eyes
Gotta block the signal then cut the feed
Someday soon love will restore our grace
Build us a world far away from this place

Author's Note
Late night musing. Returning to my roots a little on this one. This one would be lyrics I'd offer to a song back in the old days. Appreciate you.

Loved the positivity of love .. in the need in the coming soon Hope dear poet. You highlighted the weedy virally spread out & sprawling dense these evils in lies.. the Kali Yuga as we call here .. yes. Sooner there will be the fight the battle .. where light love shall prevail . Thanks Damian dear poet for this Love- laden truth xx

I've pretty much stopped watching TV & listening to news these days. When media is all owned by powers that feed what they want you to eat, I'll forage on my own thanks. My daughter once said to me poetry is just songs without the music audible. Back in the day...today...it's all music still, Damian 😊

My dude, I'm afraid things will get worse before they get better. People need a massive shock to restore their senses. The numbness of it all buries morality. Unfortunately.
Yet, tight words you have here. I'm listening! So preach your words my good man.
