Cut Ya Out ..
All these years, I let you hurt me,
We both made decisions, but you blame me.
Maybe grow up and take some blame.
It’s a shame, you just wanted to play,
With fire, now you’re burning today.
We could have had so much more,
Forbidden fruits will cost their name.
Call yourself a friend, but you knew the score,
It takes two to dance; you knew what’s in store.
When the world crumbled, you blamed me,
Maybe take some responsibility.
This time I'm walking away
You knew how I felt; it was all in plain sight,
But you wanted your worth in the dark of the night.
Needing to feel wanted doesn’t make it right.
But I’m free, the music lets me breathe.
You send cryptic lines, but I see beneath.
Now I’m the one who’s taking my leave.
Cry your eyes out, darling; it’s all in vain.
I’ve written words that carry the pain.
Songs that last long beyond the rain.
Take the power out of your hands; I’m done.
Cut you off, no more second runs.
I’m free now, and I’ve finally won.
I know you think of me; you know I think of you.
But these songs will live on, always speaking true.
Cry, scream, or wonder, but I’m through.
You can think of me
But I’m free, the music lets me breathe.
You send cryptic lines, but I see beneath.
Now I’m the one who’s taking my leave.
So when you cry and dry your eyes,
Play these songs to see through the lies.
You’ll know my name; it will rise.
