Huron shores
West towards the sunset
Night after night
We watched
Some nights
Colours masked by heavy clouds
Other nights are spectacular
Every night a little different.
You can’t expect a sunset to look a particular way
You can’t control it
shape it.
Just take the time to enjoy it as it is.
Each one has its own beauty
if you’re willing to experience it

I was looking through some old notes and came across a note about watching sunsets over Lake Huron and worked it into a little poem. Enjoy.

I'm on Lake Erie and just 20 miles to Lake Ontario. I can relate. I'm a creature of the night. The water is calming and beautiful under moonlight. Thanks for writing this.

I know Lake Erie and Lake Ontario quite well. I grew up in Southern Ontario. My favourite it still Lake Huron.
