There are some fascinating professional artists in my local poetry group. They speak often of how their art saves them. I doubt anyone will ever pay me for my paintings, but I'm starting to paint more often. It takes me to a better place.

Your fire-comment stuck in my brain -- the reopening of Notre Dame was this weekend, and I felt it was a testament to our need to have something larger than us, artistically, exist.
Cool shit. I dug it. It made my thoughts wander.
