When you think back over the years and wonder what went wrong
Think of this poem as our last song

Is this how tomorrow feels, sometimes I cant tell if its real
Yesterday is gone but that’s all I think about
Too late to turn around
Too painful to work it out

In the beginning it was perfect,
We were a “sure thing”
We were inseparable, unbreakable
You were the yang to my ying

As time moved on we were the “it” couple
And our bond grew strong
We loved each other right or indifferent
There was no wrong

We had an uncondional love
It was “no matter what”
We gave our all and fought the fight,
Despite all the “buts”

I gave you my all and couldn’t understand “why”
How could you LOVE ME and still allow me to cry
You can say what you want like how
“I gave up” or “I got played”
Just make sure you tell them
I loved you through and in spite of it all
And I stayed
