A Fragment of Heaven

A Fragment of Heaven

Generational
consciousness
becomes
a survival mechanism.

Giving way
to certain social elements,
we devote
our entire lives

in developing
a bias
towards an obsessed on
abstraction.

We give it
unlimited access
to our strength
and energy,

untold hours
participating,
dreaming,
planning,

10,000 individual
validating supports
convincing us
of our cause.

And we lie
on our final gasp,
regretting so much
and remembering so little,

a fragment
of heaven
on an island
of hell.

(We lie, recline, on the occasion of our last opportunity to not lie to ourselves.....this is being beside ourselves. Objective. Honest. Real.)
