Shattered
I try to connect this lost love
But, I cannot
These puzzle pieces escape me, and like my love they are gone...
I plead for them, to return to me
So I can recreate the picture...
The picture of us, made by our puzzle
But, I know they will never come back...
I lay in the corner, a broken mess
With head in arms, I try to mend my heart
Then I feel a nudge...
I look up from my despair
It is a girl...
Her hair is darker than black, and her smile soothes me
She has a puzzle in her hands...
She sits beside me and opens it, revealing the pieces
Then, scatters them on the floor
We start to put it together...
I don't know why I am doing this...
Our hands would meet on a puzzle piece
But, there would be no reaction
It is a slow process, but it comes together
She puts the final puzzle piece in it's place...
What I see...is beyond beautiful
She is holding my hand, under a setting sun
It was enchanting...
In words at the top it says,
Will you be mine...
