Of Light
Suspended high in the sky, in your life
Often times hanging out
Quietly by
With a fierceness that can knock you over
Yet hold you steady
Those shining stars
Guiding
Opening your eyes
Your heart
Your possibilities
Illuminating the path you didn’t know existed
Their eyes recognizing stories your heart can’t bear alone
Their shoulders taking over when you slip into the dimension of the unknown
Carrying you until you can stand on your own
Only they know how monumental your tiny triumphs are
They’re the first to celebrate with you
The first to encourage you
The very first you give you the loving nudge you need
They send you off, prepared as you need to be
They don’t ask for anything
Their greatest reward
You

It’s no coincidence that Willow and I were chatting this morning about a poem that Ahavati wrote for her years ago when she was on her trauma therapy journey and then I open my updates feed a few minutes ago and find a poem written by Ahavati for me.
I wrote this poem last night before any of this took place.

Good people of God are "shining stars " in our lives.. a gift of Love nothing in return just that sweet feeling into the heart of the giver and that smiling face and grateful heart of the receiver.. I like your insight poems best. But that's just me. I know the masses of male writers like the other stuff more. Lol.
