Ron (The Hero)

Ron (The Hero)

Ron Nessman is not
Les Nessman (or less than human)

Sittin on a bench waiting for sis
To get the car sparkly and shiny

Just put down his best impression
Trying to get a job at Applebees

Not really paying attention
Sittin and waiting for her

See out of the corner of his eye a
Stroller strolling to the boulevard

There’s no phone booth
What are they anyway

His costume says save the child
Spring into saving the lad

By the curb grab the handle
Turn the Little man’s life around

Steer him back to a relative
She’s on the ground again and again

Blood on her knees but little man
Is untouchable because of a man
Named Ron the truck driver

Grieving girlfriend on his plate
Sinks into homelessness and despair

He’s baptized as a savior
By the way you know
He should be America’s new spokesman

Do the right thing
Without a thought

Even if demons and distress
Cross your path
