greater concentration is needed
I don’t enjoy long poems
whereas I can read a novel
of five hundred pages or
so long as they stick to the plot
but a poem requires
greater concentration from the reader
and the poem and the writer
could have cut quite a lot

That is so true, Paul! I am guilty of such! However, in all fairness, some aren't as succinct with words as you are to convey their point.

Interest piquing indeed, I don’t always agree with the initial position— though the second (which the first is based upon the foundation of in part) is rather incisive of wit. Bravo sir
