Stillness

In the stillness waiting

Down a dark alleyway on the edges of madness

I watch as your breath quickens

Perspiration on your brow
i wonder what you’re thinking

Your eyes dart back and forth
But no one is there

The ties that bind you twist and tighten

You are all alone with your God
But he doesn’t answer

In desperation you try to imagine
An escape

But there is no escape from the nightmare

My soul has departed
All iI have is vengance

Your sacrifice will reunite me with my devil

You beg and plead for someone
 Or something to save you

But you begin to realize
That you are all alone with a demon

In your final hours
Why won’t Jesus pick up the phone

He’s not answering
Your  calls go straight to voicemail

The time is upon you
You’ll soon meet your maker

Your  pulse quickens as
I’ll reveal the monster in me

You breath your last breath
As the phone rings
…It’s Jesus
