Masquerade

What am I to you?
Just another item
A piece of the board game
A face with no name
I make my way through the dancing crowd, only to find that you've disapeared again
Take your mask off!
Don't be a coward..
Reveal yourself!
I feel a cold chill behind me
I turn-Alas!
But you are gone
I feel, I've danced this dance before
Probably to a different tune
I catch a glimpse, and your lifeless eyes look right through me
I was enchanted, began to walk into your deadly trap
I was probably smiling as you took my life that night
As you stole my heart right from me
And smashed it to pieces
Welcome to the masquerade
