Puppy Love

How is it, that you know exactly what I am thinking?
Know what I want to say even if I don't speak
One look into your deep warm eyes, and you know exactly what I'm thinking
Loyalty and honor shines bright in those eyes
Even though I am your master, I feel more like your sister
Only love between a dog and human could be so loyal
Never ending
That's why I wonder how people can leave animals helpless
Abuse them and leave them to die
Yeah, granted I'm not perfect
Never was the nicest person
Call me a hypocrit if you must
Yes, I've done things I so truly do regret
But isn't it time to live and forget?
I cry anytime I think of the pain I caused
Oh, how I wish I could take it back
But its to late, all I can do is sit and drown in my own sorrow
