Beneath desert skylines
Alone in our private minds
We seek sanctuary
Refuge from brutality
Following contours…
There’s a crack in reasoning
We know then
It’s all sabotage
Futile in our resistance…
Still we stumble on
Crumbling facades
Mimic the backdrop
Evidence of the failing sun
Disappearing behind monstrous dunes
We are done, just as the day is…
Windswept like my love for you
Too tired to bare this weathering
My soul is carved endlessly by each grain
Falling into every crack and crevice
Out of my mind
Beyond the skyline
I know it’s predestined.

Hello,
this is an intriguing poem hence the topic, it gives an idea of the mind pool, like landscape, turning from swamp like into sand. I have never really come across a text that has an almost fata morgana feel to it. Well wrote!
