Image for the poem Serving Suggestion

Serving Suggestion

 I bought a quick meal
It came as part of a deal
The picture shown looked like perfection
I turned on the heat
Salivating to eat
A meal named as Serving Suggestion

It was a two for one
Another feast yet to come
From the ready meal that is in question
Good grief it feels slow
Another minute left to go
Before eating my serving suggestion

The micro went ding
or was it a ping
Stomach growling in need for ingestion
I ripped of the plastic
To reveal the fantastic
Meal of serving suggestion

The peas had got lost
Where they saving on cost?
The gravy looked source for infection
The potatoes were lacking
The packers had been slacking
Assembling my serving suggestion

The feast shown on the box
Was only intended to fox
The claims stated were, on later reflection
Written so small
There was no point at all
to refer to a serving suggestion

There was only some meat
In place of the treat
And I'm left with only indigestion
I am going to sue
Because I’m sat on the loo
After eating the serving suggestion
