Weak man
I wake to a brand new day
But it's the same old darkness
That keeps hanging around
Keeping me down
Say I'm gonna break these chains
That hold me in this pit
When I finally seem free
The pit is too deep
For a weak man like me
I'll still hold a smile for you
Although I'm crumbling inside
You deserve better
Than someone hanging by a tether
I know I can't hide
This loneliness from you
Once something turns blue
There's no going back
The next step is black
Go find happiness
Away from this rain
Away from this pain
That's taken hold of me
It won't be much longer
For a weak man like me
But it's the same old darkness
That keeps hanging around
Keeping me down
Say I'm gonna break these chains
That hold me in this pit
When I finally seem free
The pit is too deep
For a weak man like me
I'll still hold a smile for you
Although I'm crumbling inside
You deserve better
Than someone hanging by a tether
I know I can't hide
This loneliness from you
Once something turns blue
There's no going back
The next step is black
Go find happiness
Away from this rain
Away from this pain
That's taken hold of me
It won't be much longer
For a weak man like me
