An Ode To The Redwoods
What magic lies hidden in these ancient woods
These giant trees that stretch up past the sky
Who's fingers seem to touch the sun one last time
And kiss the day good by
How long have these immortal woods
Witnessed the rise and fall of night
How many times have they watched the stars revolve
Through green needled leaves
And twisted branches
These giant trees that stretch up past the sky
Who's fingers seem to touch the sun one last time
And kiss the day good by
How long have these immortal woods
Witnessed the rise and fall of night
How many times have they watched the stars revolve
Through green needled leaves
And twisted branches
