Last words and closed doors (Sad Version)
I never imagined, on the day I knew,
How deeply I wanted you, how much I grew.
But you had moved on, left me behind,
A piercing pain, through lifetimes entwined.
Regret, a shadow, dark and vast,
For the love I lost, the moments passed.
Yet seeing you thrive, your joy so bright,
Fills my heart, though it aches each night.
On the day I realized what I must do,
To open my heart, to be true.
I was too late, you were already gone,
Our story ended, our song withdrawn.
Our “us,” what we built with care,
Lost in time, a love so rare.
I’m sorry I couldn’t keep pace,
When I left, I lost our grace.
Now these things, they matter no more,
With final words, we close the door.
In the silence, our hearts converge.
Our chapter ends, our paths diverge,
How deeply I wanted you, how much I grew.
