Chipping at the chains
I can't find it in me to hate you
Because when I said I'll love you forever
I meant it
Still you left with my heart
And I have never been the same since
I try to get over you
But in reality I've just grown numb to the pain
Every day I tell myself that the day will come when you are out of my mind
However this seems illusive
It's sad to see what I have become
But I can only take things as they come
No more plans
No more companions
Nobody is here anymore
Still the chain must be broken
I must fo free
I must rebuild
I must let it all go
I used to think I am a shell of myself
However I have left my shell back
I roam freely now with no burdens
So I write to say I still love you
But if the opportunity presented itself
I wouldn't want you again
I am soft and kind
I move the same way I did
When we were together
It's only a matter of time before
I bore you again
I am just writing this as the first step
To finally letting you go
Because when I said I'll love you forever
I meant it
Still you left with my heart
And I have never been the same since
I try to get over you
But in reality I've just grown numb to the pain
Every day I tell myself that the day will come when you are out of my mind
However this seems illusive
It's sad to see what I have become
But I can only take things as they come
No more plans
No more companions
Nobody is here anymore
Still the chain must be broken
I must fo free
I must rebuild
I must let it all go
I used to think I am a shell of myself
However I have left my shell back
I roam freely now with no burdens
So I write to say I still love you
But if the opportunity presented itself
I wouldn't want you again
I am soft and kind
I move the same way I did
When we were together
It's only a matter of time before
