The dating race

I like you
but all of this is new
Should I pusure
But I am scared
Look at all I have bared
I'm so unprepared
Dating apps,I thought would get me nowhere
I didn't know you would be so rare
I dropped everyone one else without a care
You caught me so unaware
Love songs in the car
Thinking of you while I strum guitar
You are such a beautiful veiw
Do you even see the way I look at you
...nooo..
You see right on through
You wanna see other people, I had no clue
I should have knew
To leave my heart so open
It's a recipe for it to be broken
But I will stay unspoken
Why does dating have to be a race
Every one fighting for first place
It's like a kick in the face
And it feels as though I've been knocked down another base
You see me as cool and collected
You won't know I feel so rejected
I want to be healthy and mature
So I won't show my insecure
But I have never won a race
So I will be ready for the replace
If I have to go, I'll go with grace
Not a single tear on my face
