Best time ever!

As it happens I have a couple of stories about old people in cinemas, one of my own experience. That one involved me seeing the horror film Midsommar, during which these two old women started talking loudly, when the bloody violence began, about how they thought that they’d booked to see a drama before noisily leaving in a huff. Despite the several horror trailers they’d seen, and the prologue involving a murder suicide, and the poster depicting a tearful woman in pagan dress…

The other story is one I heard from a film critic who described two old ladies watching Women in Love, in which two stark naked men wrestle nude in front of an open fire. When it was over one old lady said: “lovely carpet…”

I’ve cursed old people struggling to open a packet of mints on the seat behind me, and asking the person sitting next to them to explain what the film is about, when it’s right in front of them, but it’s sad more than annoying, and at least it doesn’t involve POPCORN    ..     :)
