Late night musings are commonplace
My creative wiring is tied to the moon
Daytime thoughts seem so incoherent
Like my brain’s just sputtering in place

Ever notice when it’s really dark outside?
Each bright star brings a feeling of hope
It’s calming like some peaceful transition
Where my eyes absorb the precious light

In that moment timing becomes precise
Rhythm is synced up with my tendencies
Standing in a realm filled with possibilities
Where everything has purpose and reason
