dreadful feeling I'm in a hateful mood
damn the day
I'm breaking out I can swim on the winds
who knows where I'll land

desiring a brutal man
a sharp-cutting intellect to spar with
with a tongue to match
a sardonic wit
with sarcastic undertones

nobody wants my kindness
so I'll be honest
I'm tired of internalizing everything
and blaming myself

I don't gossip with anyone
so I'm out of the loop
I like to write and I come here for sanctuary

sometimes I'm pure madness
and the poets probably don't like my poems then
but none of them are for the people here
and I never give people mean comments

I'm feeling better now
I don't recognize many of you or when you joined
but welcome anyway
just so you know my madness comes at least once a year
so please bear with me
