Soul Cave

Twilight's golden burn
is rapidly swallowed
by the enlarged darkness.
It is in the shadowed hours
the thoughts of unimaginable things,
thump wild with life.
Fear's invitation.
Terror's jubilation.

But I set out to meet my soul.
Confront my deepest hopes.
Tear fear's envelope.
How deep will life allow us to go?
There is a deeper depth in every depth.
If you go too deep,
you will go home.
To your origin.
