Random thoughts #68
Words I find, too hard to say,
And youthful passions that cannot not die
Like tarnished silver, in my hand
For I have somethings left undone
My long lost days of a boy’s life,
Shall I compare
what was lost, for what was gained
As the years, went slowly by,
For boys dreams are unbound
In endless possibility
Not like an older man’s dreams turned nightmare
Filled of missed chances
Haunted by words, why & what if
For once I felt I carried the world
And the sun did not rise or set without me
Wistful regrets
Of things left undone,
Before the grave has its final say
And youthful passions that cannot not die
Like tarnished silver, in my hand
For I have somethings left undone
My long lost days of a boy’s life,
Shall I compare
what was lost, for what was gained
As the years, went slowly by,
For boys dreams are unbound
In endless possibility
Not like an older man’s dreams turned nightmare
Filled of missed chances
Haunted by words, why & what if
For once I felt I carried the world
And the sun did not rise or set without me
Wistful regrets
Of things left undone,
Before the grave has its final say
