I guess I need to get used to bittersweetness now that our 35 year honeymoon is over, but I'll be damned before I let myself be another Hallmark cardsman.
I think I'm at the point where if I don't start learning how to laugh about it then my suicidal ideation is sure to expand into an action my wife won't approve of.
Lately, she's been saving me thrice daily like that.
Last thing I remember is getting wheeled into the Cath Lab, but a couple days later the bruising started to manifest in deep Prince approved coloration, which has me ready to ask the urologist about how many baseball bats were used to hammer in the catheter.
One expects more precision than that from a surgical proceeding.

Totally with Paul on this one. As a woman I can't truly grasp the significance of this, but I can definitely sympathize with the sentiment of declining health with age.

Going into this, it was all about getting rid of the prostate cancer, but focusing on that deemphasized the side effects of the procedure, like having to deal with urinary incontinence and getting my lifetime ticket to the love boat cancelled.
I'm in a new world without a map.
Perhaps poetry will serve as a balm for my dotage.
