Image for the poem Breasts in Morning Light

Breasts in Morning Light

Gentle mounds of flesh rest peacefully
bleached by the glow of morning light.
Her nipples poised on pepperoni-sized areoles
are now soft and placid as am I.
This was my first good look at her breasts.
I gazed long at their shape and remembered
how I’d nibbled at their gummy-bear like texture
only hours before. They were as sweet.
