SOS Mercerdes-Benz pt 1

Carla
I cannot believe I'm back here in my old room. I shouldn't be here; I should be in my own office in the city away from my family.
She looked around the room and realized they had changed nothing. For years as she grew up they kept telling her that her room is going to be the guest room or her mother was in woman cave.
I want some of the past dad just left everything. The house is too much of mom. So he moved into the guesthouse in the back.
I had convinced him to rent out the house while he was back there to make some extra money. He tells me “We are not hurting for money. I just can't stand being in the house without your mom.”
She could understand that. Standing in her old room all she could think about was her mom. But it wasn't fond memories like Dad had. It was “Carla you should have passed that test. All those days and nights of you studying and having your face in a book.  You get an A. I know this teacher she gives out A +.”
That was the beginning of my downfall. She wanted me to be perfect. She wanted me to be a lawyer. When her mother found out I was in my father's garage helping the guys make some oil changes and learning all the new technical jargon, of new models that were coming out. She nearly had a stroke.
Her daughter was not going to be a mechanic. Her daughter was going to be a lawyer and that was the final.
There was no getting away from that woman and the more she tried to rebel the harder things gotten for her until she found out she was sick. And instead of feeling like my mom is not gonna make it. The woman twisted the event to her advantage.
“Carla please I just want you to be set, baby. I don't want you to be able to depend on no one but yourself. I don't want you to have a hard life. You are brilliant and you're wasting it I'm asking you take the bar and become that lawyer.”
She used her illness and her caring about her to her advantage. She wasn't a bad daughter she just had other goals than her mom wanted her to be. But when her grandma hard open on in the hospital she put the final nail in her coffin.
“Did you hear what your Mama just asked you? Don't you give me an attitude. Do what she asks. We don't know how long we're going to have her but at least give her that piece of hope.”
There she is, a lawyer who is good at her job and hates every single moment of it. Now she's back in her old house because the life she thought she wanted crumbled the moment she saw Allison riding Chris in the living room, in front of their fireplace.

One more year and he would have had half of everything she had made. They would have been considered common law. He did ask her several times to marry him and there was something that was not right. And there it was Allison.
“Carla “my father yelled out from downstairs.
“What?” Waiting for him to respond.
“You come down here and stop whating me with that fresh mouth. You have better manners than that.”
I walked downstairs seeing my father annoyed and on the phone.
“I need you to do a job for me.”
What's the man deranged or something? She just got home, wearing pumps and a wrap dress.
“Don't give me that look. My guys are all busy on this new project for this company and I need you to just run out on Highway 428 and see why the car's distress signal is on.”
“You just want me to see why the distress signal is on?”
“Just go see why it got switched on. We have a contract with that company to handle any issues that comes up.”
“I'm going to go because I need air. I'm not changing my clothes and I'm not fixing anything on the highway.”
Her father gave her a side smile knowing full well the minute she sees the vehicle that he is sending her out to investigate she'll fix it.

Askel
This piece of shit car. I don't believe we are under contract to use these cars. Didn't they have some kind of recall on these craps?
Yeah pulled over on the side of the highway waiting for help to arrive. The car has automatic help distress to the nearest dealership.
He's been sitting fuming in that car for the last 45 minutes. Not because of what happened with the car. But the fact there his brother Jonah has decided to send him on a trip to recruit new blood for their company.
He hates it here. He wants to go back home to Norway. Misses the air there his freedom. Now he's stuck there on the highway waiting for God knows how much longer someone just to get this stupid emergency signal off and he can go about doing what he needs to do.
He finally sees the truck come into view. He got out of his car and wish he stayed in his car since they're experiencing the third day of a heat wave. It wasn't making his mood any better.
“Hey how long was it gonna take you to get here for this car?” He called to the truck driver.
When the door opened, and he saw a leg that was golden in color attached to two black pumped heels he thought he must have lost his mind or at least hallucinated from the heat.
She jumped out of the truck wearing a cream-colored wrap dress that was above her thigh located in the front showing more cleavage than any mechanic should show on the job.
“Is this some kind of joke?”
She took off the shades she was wearing revealing her eyes were the color of amber wheat what they were shooting daggers at him, and he did not appreciate it.
“I'm here for the car. I will report in why your SOS emergency is on and why the vehicle has stopped.”
She will report in. As in she is not going to fix it.
“Jeg kan ikke tro dette” he said under his breath
“Excuse me Sir? I do not know where you come from and I don't understand what you just said but if you want me to help you it would be wise that you speak in English.”
He took another look at her and he couldn't help himself but smile at the attitude she was giving him. It wasn't the time or place to be attracted to anyone at the moment.
“Fine, can you just see why it went on and why this car is not starting?”
She went to the car opened up the door and fiddled with a couple of things that he couldn't see. The hood of the car popped open and she gave it a quick once over. Then she turned to him.
“This isn't your car, is it?”
“What does that have to do with anything can you fix the car or not?”
She looked him over as if she was assessing something before, she decided to say…….
