Places We Do Not Go

people are like leaves that fall
incapable of knowing all
the places in the endless wild
protected from the human child

who only knows what it is told
seldom waking, getting old
near places that it does not know
places people do not go

like valleys in the frozen north
seldom seen yet life springs forth
in the endless summer days,
nature has so many ways

to carry on although unseen
in the dark with no sun's beam
with beings living underground
everywhere life is found

under ice and under sea
and in the air that we all breathe
and in those places we can't go
places that we do not know

protected from the human child
in the unseen endless wild -
nature has so many ways
never leaving it just stays...
